I am certain that MSE is not compatible with Windows 8.1, since Microsoft
has turned their Windows Defender into a full blown antivirus package. Now,
Deja, if you want something free, you might try going to Control Panel and
turning on Windows Defender and Windows Firewall. That is, if you are
running Windows 8 or 8.1. In windows 7 or earlier, Defender is not a good
choice for antivirus protection.

In other operating systems, you can see the results with the Jaws cursor.
