If you are trying to remove 1 bullet here and there, place your cursor on the first character for that bullet. Then change the bullet status to none. I do not know what version of Word you are working in, so I've not offered complete instructions.
If you want to remove an entire section of bullets, select all of the text, and then change the bullet status to none.
