Hello Kevin,
If you only have one list then you can use the shift and down arrow to
select the lines to change. Press CTRL+Shift+n to replace the list style
with the Normal style. This will remove indentation so you might need to go
into the paragraph dialog box to set indentation again if you want to keep
it.
One quick way to replace all bulleted lists in your document is to replace
the style used for the lists. If bullets were installed through the ribbon
choices then the style is "List paragraph." This style indents the
paragraph, and text starts at 1.5 inches from the left edge of the paper or
one half inch in from the default one inch margin. If bullets are inserted
using the CTRL+Shift+l keystroke then the style is "List bullet" and text
starts at 1.25 inches from the left edge of paper or 0.25 inches from left
margin. Use insert key (caps lock key in laptop configuration) with F and
listen for the style used. The "List paragraph" is the more common style
used so if you want to retain the indentation then you replace it with the
"Normal indent" style. Otherwise replace it with the "Normal style" and
indentation will be removed and text will start at the default one inch
margin. Here is how you can use Find and Replace for this purpose:
1. Press CTRL key with h. Focus will be in the Find What page of the
dialog box.
2. Tab and if you find a "More" button use spacebar. If it is a button
for which JAWS says "less" do not use spacebar.
3. Use shift with tab back to the "Find what" edit box.
4. Route JAWS cursor to PC cursor, do a page down, and then press home
key. Read the current word to make sure focus is on the Format button.
5. Press left mouse button (second key from the left on the top row of
the number pad) to launch the Format menu and then turn on PC cursor. Use
up arrow to the Style menu item and press enter key.
6. Press the first letter of the style to be replaced until you find
it. You are looking for either List Paragraph or List Bullet style. Press
enter key on the name of the style to be replaced and focus goes back to the
Find What box.
7. Tab to the Replace with control.
8. Route JAWS to PC cursor, do a page down followed by a home key, and
do a left mouse button click on the format button. Turn PC cursor on again.
9. Up arrow to the Style choice and press enter key.
10. Use the letter N until you find the normal or normal indent style
and press enter key.
11. Tab to the Replace All button and press spacebar. Word will tell
you how many occurrences of the style it replaced. Each list will be one
occurrence of the style. Press spacebar on the OK button to return to the
document.
Take care.
