I scanned the card with openbook copied the scan to a txt file then copied the authorization number then pasted the number into vipre just as you would with jaws. I cannot say that it is absolutely necessary to run both, but I have had Malware Bytes find things that Vipre did not, and they both are good products. As far as being compatible, they do work well together, but you must install Vipre first, as it will remove any other antivirus/malware software it finds on your computer during its installation. Vipre 2015 was not very JAWS compatible but the latest update of JAWS did make it more compatible, and I find that it works well now.
