After I did what David Whitehead suggested by deleting the item for the DVD
issue on the DVD/CD not working, and then I rebooted, the item was reinstalled
as he stated.
But now in my system's tray, it is showing, the battery meter. I do not have a
battery installed, I am running strictly from the power adapter cord.
So, wondering why this is showing up?
It only used to state, "no battery detected"

Is this anything I should be concerned with? I entered on it, and was given 4
options; adjust screen brightness, power options, window's mobility center,
and turn on/off task icons

The screen brightness is at 40%, is this where it should be?
Power options are for, sleeping and hibernating, etc. there is one item checked
which states; balanced (recommended)
other links to change these settings
I already have it set to not go to sleep, no need for a password to wake it up
either.
Just wanted to run all this by yall. This is on my Window's 7 laptop

Thanks,

Trish
