Wait, you want a file attached right?
Or are you trying to put the name of the document in the subject.

Copy, pasting a file works for me.

The other method is to press shift f10 or your applications key, arrow down
to the sendto submenu, right arrow, down arrow to mail recipient press
enter, your outlook should open and it should be attached.

I just tried copying a document and then pasting it in the subject line of
an email and it didn't work. I also tried selecting the document name and
got nothing.

To avoid a few steps and make your life a little bit easier, you can simply
focus on the document, press CTRL c to copy it to the clipboard, open your
email client up, then CTRL V to paste it.
Or you can do alt A followed by n followed by F and browse for the file and
press enter to have it be attached.

Hi J,

The applications key or Shift + F10 is usually the key or keystroke normally
used to open / access the context menu. If you want steps for sending
attachments we will need to know which email client / program & operating
system you're running.
Take care.
Mike

Is the applications key the same? I tried sending an attachment using the
directions I copied ages ago and couldn't attach the song I wanted to send.
Maybe I should just start over with asking about sending an attachment.
Thanks!

Hi.

If you have a desktop computer where the keyboard has 4 key's to the right
from spacebar, than you have the context menu key just next to the right
ctrl button.
Some laptop's don't have such a key, here you must use shift+f10 instead.

Hans Pauli.
