You have to monitor this scan pretty closely. The scan results appear on the screen when it finishes, and I do not know if there is an option to save it or not. I have taken a screen shot of the results to be able to refer back to them. If you are in another window when the scan finishes, you will not see the results by alt tabbing around to them. The seem to disappear if this is attempted. It is not a good utility for doing another task while it is running, but the results are good.

Hi,
After I enter to run the scan the screen jump back to my inbox .
So, I press Windows + R again.
Then, I tab to the ok button.

I imagine the scan ranned, but I did not get a scan report.

I tabbed to the brows button and tabbed around, but there was no save button
anywhere.

Alan,

SFC /Scannow will detect and fix most corrupted windows files, but depending

on just how corupted your operating system is, it can also report at the end

of the scan that there were corupted files detected that could not be
repaired, and that you should try using a recovery method or just
reinstall Windows. Most people do not see this message however.

I looked at bottom of this thread but believe original not
there. I missed the beginning of this. Is this in Windows 7
and exactly what errors does it fix?

Best,
Al

Be sure to put a space between the sfc and the /scannow.

The keystroke is sfc/scannow. Put a slash in there not a
dash.
