Hello, This is the way I insert a row. 1, place the curser on the line below where you want the new row to be 2, press your application key 3, arrow down to insert or press the letter I, enter 4, arrow down to insert row, enter 4, now you have an empty row above
Delete one or many rows 1, select the first row by ctrl space bar 2, hold the shift key, and press the down arrow, and that will select each row 3, press the delete key I hope this helps Patti It's a bit different than inserting. 1. Place cursor on the row to be deleted. 2. Tap Alt 3. Tap e for edit 4. Tap d for delete. You'll be in a dialog to allow different delete options. 5. To delete the row, tap R 6. Press Enter. Note that this is different from the insertion process, which is initiated with Alt+i. Alt+d does not seem to work as advertised. This may be due to Alt+d already being defined for some other purpose -- I don't know. If you want a consistent way to do both, then you should start either the insertion or deletion with Alt+h. Then for: Insertion - tap i and then r for row or c for column. Deletion - tap d, then r for row or c for column. Isn't Excel and other Microsoft applications fun, in that there are usually 2 or 3 different ways to do any particular action. Then press alt+I, let those up and press r. Then I will be positioned on the new line. -----Original Message----- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Pinky Sent: Friday, May 15, 2015 11:35 To: JAWS-Users-List 2 Subject: [JAWS-Users] inserting a line in Excel 2010 Hi Group, How do you insert a line in Excel 2010?
