Dear list,

Thank you to both mike b's.

First let me explain that the shift f10 did nothing for me, as it just said,
move, size, etc. The applications key took me to the jumplist. I also
removed it from the taskbar and the shortcut was not even on my system at
that time, and the keystroke still shut the darn thing down.

However, I toyed around with this for hours and I have no clue how I got rid
of it. From memory the path was C:\Users\  Connie
Hernandez\roming\internet\quicklaunch and then it listed the keystroke which
was CTRL shift s with lnk at the end I was good up until the quick launch
part, I couldn't find that for the life of me, and still can't.

I downloaded and ran that hotkey program I found by accident while doing a
google search. That's awesome the programs page appears on google! Anyways,
I read the instructions on there, I followed the instructions, found the
path, but again, couldn't find it, so I just said forget this, and just
start frantically tapping the delete key on the pathway it showed and even
backspacing. I was flustered at this pointI'm not saying that is what
resolved it, but after coming back from my smoke break, I did something in
word, needed to select a style, so I did CTRL shift s and viola it didn't
shutdown!

That's a cool lil program on the jaws-users page btw, it give the xp pathway
and I use windows 8.1 but that was no big deal.

Thanks to everyone who responded.

Thank you!

Kimsan,

Focus on the item in the task bar, then open the context menu by the
applications key or shift F10, arrow down and the second option should be
unpinn from task bar.

How do I remove it from the taskbar, the keystroke that is?

The context menu brings up the jumplist and alt enter takes me to the
taskbar tab where I can lock the taskbar etc. Nothing about a keystroke.

Hi Kimsan,

Is the shortcut still on your taskbar? If so, that's why it's still
working.
Take care.

Not on the desktop. don't even have the icon anywhere on my comp, and still
when I press CTRL shift S it shuts down. That is the part that confuses me
lol.

I grabbed this program off the jaws list for kicks because I got bored and
nosey, but hotkey finder, shows CTRL shift s and a path, which I followed
but the last part I couldn't find.

I'm sure Iwill figure it out, thanks for the response though.
