Hi,
Go to internet option and select O.
The first screen that appears is your search engine.

You can backspace and delete the one that is their and type in:

http://google.com/

At the bottom of page, press apply, then shift tab to the ok button to save
your settings.

And see, if this is better for you?

Subject: [JAWS-Users] GOOGLE KEEPS POPPING UP ON INTERNET EXPLORER WEB PAGE

I am using Windows 7 with Internet Explorer version 11with JAWS 16 (just
upgraded).

My Home Page is GOOGGLE which I use extensively.

My problem is that whenever I enter a new screen on the Internet and down
arrow several times GOOGLE pops up with a list of formerly used search
terms. It is hard to get out of this screen and I often have to F4 out and
start over again.

I find GOOGLE very useful, but I want to choose when I need it. I try
minimizing USING the down-arrow KEY but often forget when exploring an
unfamiliar WEB Page.

How can I prevent this?
