I like to suggest people pick some third party email address that won't go away 
like Yahoo for example. Another option is to setup your own internet domain and 
create accounts that way. Although a little more work it does offer you the 
option of having total control of your accounts.

Every now and then I want to bundle with our cable service. In addition to them 
not being convincing that a good price is going to last long, my husband (great 
with computer, has been printer and taught electronics) urges that we do need 
to think carefully before even considering changing e-mail addresses. I did do 
it quite a few years ago, and it was a hassle.
