My son did the exact same thing that your daughter did.

I say cable is pretty much cable, but my daughter and her family have
Charter in their area. They gave it up and raised an antenna, plus Netfilx
and the like.

I don't think that Comcast reaches this area. Our cable provider is
Charter.

I use my same old Outlook.com account for all of my personal email. I have
just added a couple of comcast accounts to do things such as receive
messages from these lists. I like to keep things as clean as possible. If
you would consider switching to the Xfinity X1 platform, Comcast can put a
pretty attractive bundle together for you. I just carry the cable and
internet services, and get great service, and my bill is lower than it has
been in years. You have to call the Comcast Accessibility support group to
really get a good price on the X1 service, and anytime a service call or
anything extra is required, they will see that you do not pay for these
things.

Every now and then I want to bundle with our cable service. In addition
to
them not being convincing that a good price is going to last long, my
husband (great with computer, has been printer and taught electronics)
urges
that we do need to think carefully before even considering changing
e-mail
addresses. I did do it quite a few years ago, and it was a hassle.

I think that someone on list has the settings for comcast pop3. I
contacted
comcast support and what a waist. I told them what I need and they then
sent
me the imap settings again. After about 10 hours of changing email
addresses
from verizon, I may have to go back. I did purchase the verizon email
url
and would like to cancel that.
