Try unplugging it and removing the battery for 30 seconds, re-inserting the battery and then try to turn on.

Today I used apple software update and it didn't install properly. I went and hit altogether-fbled and hit restart. All was well until the shut down sound. After a minute, I heard nothing at all. I tried to enter my password and nothing happened. I hit the power button and the computer did not turn on. I charged it and the same problem happened. I tried to start jaws manually and it wont even do anyshing. Basically it is unresponsive. How do I force the computer to restart?
