Hi Bob, I changed the subject line to reflect the conversation. Windows Vista was released around February of 2007. >From what I can remember, it was much like Windows 7, although I believe you could choose the XP Start Menu and it was shipped with an e-mail client, which was Windows Mail. To date, Windows Vista was the last version of Windows that shipped with an e-mail client installed, and Windows Mail was only available in Vista, although there have been registry edits allowing the client to be used in Windows 7 As has already been mentioned, Windows Vista had limited native hardware support, and many other issues that forced Microsoft to release Windows 7 earlier than originally anticipated. Nothing more jumps out at me, since there have been 3 new versions of Windows since Vista, and number 4 is coming at the end of July this year. I no longer have the box Vista was installed on, so I don't have any first hand references. I'm sure if you browsed the web you could find more info.
