Also, update your malware programs, restart, then run a scan as soon as you can after restart. After scan is complete, restart, then run again. Do this at least three times in succession. My pc was on the verge of death a year ago. I ran a triple scan with Malwarebytes and to this day, it's chugging along just fine. When I accessed the internet on my daughters computer a dialog popped up and said my computer has malware and to call this 800 number to resolve the issue. Of course I did not call it. Pressing ok, alt-f4 nothing besides manually powering the machine down was going to get that message gone. Hahah, it was a womans voice who made that announcement by the way.
