From my experience, JAWS won't read the column and row headers
simultaneously. You have to scroll to hear the column and row headers.
Once you know the row you are in, then scroll across columns. The
keystroke method only reads columns or rows, not both. Insert v in
Excel to Workbooks, Worksheets and Regions then to Title Reading will
get your spreadsheet reading both columns and rows - but not both at
once. JAWS will only know where your headings are if you pointthe
cursor to the nexus of row and column headings.

Hi, what I am one thing, is for it to read the column and row titles as
headings.
For example, if I list peoples names in column a and put the scores they earn
in a game and columns BCDEFG and so on,. I wanted to read John Smith 300 points
if I go to the third column and the third cell of that Collin. Is there a
keystroke to make the headings read like that? Or rather, to make the column
and row titles Rita settings? Does this make more sense? I hope so.

Not totally sure what you mean, Excel will read the cells as you navigate with
the arrow keys.
Does shift+spacebar help as that will select the entire colum, or ctrl+space
bar anyway.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] question about Excel and JAWS
Hi,
How do you make excel read columns as you navigate through them.
What I mean is if I'm keeping score during a game, how do I make it read the
names when I scroll down the individual columns? What's the keystroke for
that? I have excel 2013 and a windows 8.1 machine running jaws 16.
thanks,
Dacia
