Will it stop eventually for the check for updates for the current
version onece jaws 17 is released?

Hi
After you have installed JAWS 17, you will be able to use the
Check For
Updates feature to get subsequent updates. But to initially
install JAWS
17, you will need to download the installation program from
Freedom
Scientific and run it. The check for updates feature will only
show updates
for the version of JAWS that is running.
