wait. Similar to any other update in which it will download but you have a
choice of installing.

I'm only going on the assumption that Windows will download / install
Windows 10 like any other update that is downloaded / installed when,
Install Updates Automatically, is selected in Windows Updates Settings. So
please anyone, correct me if I'm wrong! Like I said, I'm assuming, & would

If you have Install Updates Automatically checked the
Windows 10 update will download / install automatically, &
you will be in for a rude surprise. If you have either,
Download updates but let me choose whether to install them
or, Check for updates but let me choose whether to download
and install them, selected in your Windows Updates settings,
you can then choose when you want to download / install the
Win10 upgrade. If I am wrong, would someone please correct
me?

that's two separate things. I think you had until July 29
2015 to reserve
it and once you do then when the icon is in your updates you
have a year to
download it.
