Hi Tom,

I found the following information in the Insert+h help window from within
Excel.

Describe the border of the active cell Alt+Shift+B

I've tried it and it works in Excel2010 while using JAWS16 on a laptop
running Windows7. My keyboard in JAWS is set to Desktop, and not laptop.
In addition to Insert+h from within an application, don't forget about
Insert+w for some Windows applications keyboard commands.

HTH,
Annette

I'll check that. maybe I need to contact jaws support and ask if there's a
way, since we can't see the cell, thank you

Hey Tom,

How ya been. I do not believe that there is anything that will tell you if a
border is already there, unless maybe if you find the feature on the Home
tab where you can add or remove the borders. There might be some check marks
here that will tell you that the top, bottom or either side border has been
applied. Hope this helps.

i looked up the keystrokes to put borders on excel cells, but does anyone
know if there are keystrokes, where jaws will tell if a selected cell has a
border? i found that insert + f doesn't give this information
