John:

Your favorable reports about Avast are interesting.

I say this because FS Tech Support strongly advised me against using Avast,
due to supposed incompatibilities with Jaws.

I did use it for a time before developing some problems with my current
computer this past Summer, but again, was specifically advised against using
Avast by FS Tech Support.

I'm not sure how much all of this is worth, but just thought I'd share what
I was told.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] A GOOD AND ACCESSIBLE ANTI-VIRUS PROGRAM

I have been using Avast as my anti-virus protection. It also looks for
unwanted programs or for software which needs updating.

There is a free version and recent updates have made it quite accessible for
Jaws users.

It also has its own voice and sound elements. I am very pleased with the
results and with the accessible status of Avast. The web site is below.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

There are two Avast versions. The second version does have a charge but
it's even more effective than the free software.
