I heard windows 10 hibernates when shutting down. this is for quick
startup. someone on this list mentioned there is a setting you could change
to stop that. I don't remember who!

Hmm, before shutting down are all applications closed? Also, there are
processes in the task manager that people check to make sure that are not
running. Also the message to restart your computer maybe updates completed
installing?
I'm trying to think of other reasons Ive heard over the years but for
starters, before you shut down, make sure all of your applications are
closed, and on the jaws-users site I believe there is a shutdown excicutable
that you can place on your desktop, or taskbar and simply click it for the
computer to shutdown. You can also do windows key x and up arrow to the
shutdown submenu and locate the shutdown option.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] does windows 10 r"ally shut down when I click shut
down
Hi, I am getting this strange alert. When I try to start my laptop, it says
"You need to restart your computer." But when I hit shut down, it says "Jaws
for windows." It only plays the startup sound when doing a restart. How do
I make windows 10 fully shut down?
