Hello Listmembers:

I will be involved in three days of training this next week specific to my
Americorps assignment. I want to be able to read PowerPoint presentations
using JAWS. Other than video clips, pictures and whatnot, I should be able
to read the written content of the PP slides which will be sent to be
electronically later today.

I have received the Americorps manual as a Word document, so will be able to
participate in any training that addresses specific areas of this document,
(using the find/search command.

There will be some other PDF documents that various speakers will be using
in their presentations. From my experience, some PDf’s are more accessible
than others. Is there a setting in Acrobat Reader that can help make these
documents more readable/accessible? Can I convert these to Word documents?

Man, for all the years that I’ve worked, I’m still naïve about some of these
issues. Humility, humility!

Best, Justin
