Hi all,
I installed Outlook Express on Windows 8 and I did not have Outlook or
office on machine.
When I opened a email message it was opened by notepad. I tried to create a
rule and no luck.
I wonder if I have Outlook installed on W8 then OE would work fine. Any
ideas?
Right now using XP but have Windows 8 and have not upgraded to w10 or
office2013.
I only have one machine connected at a time because only have one monitor
and I don't know how to network both machines. Anyone know how to network
both desktops with one modem?
I don't need monitor unless I get jammed up.

Thanks for the suggestion. Did not know Outlook Express could be
re-installed.

Hi Neil,
I suggest instead doing a reinstall of Outlook Express, which is nice and
simple with JAWS, and if it had been working okay for her, why switch? I
would have her contact the Microsoft disability services office. They can
remote in to her computer and just handle all this. In closing, I suspect
her contacts and data should all still be there, that it is just the
software that is messed up.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] JAWS, Outlook Express, Outlook
Hello Gang:
A friend of mine has been using outlook express, which has become unusable
on her computer. Can neither send nor receive e-mails. Everything else
seems
to be working on her computer. Internet connection is fine, and she uses
Frontier.
Will going to Outlook 2010 solve her problem? Secondly, will she be able
to
import her contacts, and import all of the outlook express e-mails?
Can the Microsoft accessibility Help Desk assist her in that importing
effort?
Neil
