Hello Charles: When you say "click on a button", do you mean enter or the left mouse button or right mouse button? When I strike enter, little happens. How do you check for the last scan? Thanks. There definitely was a learning curve with the latest versions of AVG that involves clicking on the buttons for the various categories and it appears to go to different screens. I find that I have to use the JAWS cursor a lot to get it to read details and on some occasions I have to use the Convenient OCR feature of JAWS to get it focuseed. The other program that I used for a while as a trial when I got a new computer was McAfee Livesafe. it worked well with JAWS and I was satisfied with the effectiveness of the program. Hello Gang: Well, like most things, there is a wide range of views. I have a friend, who uses Avast. He thinks highly of it. An earlier post said that the paid version of AVG was accessible. Glad to hear it for that person. I have the paid version of AVG, and don't really find it very accessible. For example, I can't figure out how to change the scan settings, even though there exist a button for it under scan options. Also, if I arrow all the way to the top or bottom of the page, JAWS goes silent. A friend set up the schedule. I don't know how to determine when the last scan occurred. The only "voluntary" information I get from AVG is that "you are protected." So, I don't know whether the inaccessibility is due to JAWS, AVG, or me. Have a great day. Thanks. Did Avast get their accessibility issues corrected because for a while it wasn't accessible by screen reader users?
