but if you have an upgrade to Jaws 16 or 17 should it not be stated in
the about section of jaws?

If you purchased the SMA with the JAWS� screen reading software version
16.0 release, it will enable you to obtain the next release or the next
two releases
depending on the SMA you purchased. Therefore, if your SMA will allow
you to obtain the JAWS 17.0 release and the JAWS 18.0 release if this
is the following
release after JAWS 17.0. If you have a SMA for the nenxt release that
enable you to get JAWS 17, you can’t not use JAWS 17 and use JAWS 18.0
for your SMA.
so I guess there are many types of SMAs that can be purchased, you need
to ask about which one is best for your needs!
