You need to download their removal tool from their web site.

Hmmm, so how can I remove all traces of mcafee.
I've done the add/remove, and  revo uninstaller, but I'm still seeing
that thing I mentioned that is in windows explorer.

So which tool could I use.

mechanism to prevent malicious uninstall, thus rendering the
user/subscriber "unknowingly unprotected.
