I don't mind it being in the sys tray, what I do mind is that if I leave my
computer for a while it pops up every day.  I don't want to update until I
can be assured that I can do it without help and without having periods
where I have no clue what is happening or I have eyes here to assist.  None
of the above looks feasible right now.

I have used this on several systems with no problems, it is Jaws friendly.
You can always reverse the changes when you are ready to upgrade.
