perhaps the easiest is,
1, from desktop,
press the keystroke windows-key+x,
2, now down arrow and enter on,
windows mobility center.
3, now use the tab key and look for something which sounds like,
toggle Function Key "Function Key" instead of "Multimedia key",
tab once and arrow up or down to make the change,
now alt+f4 to exit from mobility center.

As stated before I got me a new laptop, the function key commands such as
insert f12 will not read the time. How do I make them work? No ordinary
commands that jaws uses with the function keys will work.
