Hi Tom, Windows 10 Pro is usually suggested. with this version you can choose what updates you want to install. With other Windows 10 versions, from what I understand, they download & install all updates automatically.
Depending on what or how hard you plan on using your laptop computer for, getting a minimum of 8 GB of RAM would keep you on top of the curve, but you could probably go with as little as 4 GB. of quality / latest RAM, DD4. Again, depending on how hard you're going to work your computer going with a I-5 Intel processor / or an equilvalent AMD processor should be good. Soundcard & Videocard options I'll won't chime in on. The suggestions above are suggestions made to me by a couple of computer savvy people after asking for input on having a desktop computer built for Windows 10 for myself. Take care.
