Hi Mike,
Did you mean Control + P?

HTH,
Rick Justice

Tomorrow's another day, another way!
and if tomorrow never comes, problem solved!

Hi T,

If you have Openbook installed you can use the Freedom Import Printer as
well. Try the following, if you have Openbook:
1. Highlight the PDF file, & press enter to open it using Adobe.
2. After Adobe opens it press, Alt + P, for the print menu.
3. In the list of printer options arrow down to the, Freedom Import Printer,
& press enter.
4. It might take several seconds, but Openbook should wake up & scan / read
the document.

Use the JAWS convenient O C R. Press the JAWS key then space bar quickly,
when you hear the pop then press the letter O then d for document.

After blindness and a double organ transplant, you can say I am as resilient
as rubber, anything you throw at me I am going to bounce back from!

Subject: [JAWS-Users] reading a scanned PDF file

I received a pre surgical prep package by email yesterday, in PDF form, so
went through the PDF steps, but when it opened, it said that it was an empty
document. I forwarded it to my brother, and after he opened it, he said that
the 10 pages had been scanned, and not sent as a regular saved document, and
would like to know if there's a way to let jaws read a scanned, PDF file?
