actually, your not missing a dang thing.
either way works, however, with the previous ways, my success seemed to not
work as well as the steps I just posted.
I found doing the first way, that links seemed to rap more often then not.
what ever works for folks is quite okay with me!

With genuine respect for your expertise, this method doesn't seem exactly
simple. Mike B and Brad's two methods, along with the familiar alt-d,
control-c, method seem much simpler. Am I missing something?

the easiest way to email a download link is;
we will use jaws as a example.
1, go to the freedom scientific web site,
www.freedomscientific.com
2, bring up the list of links,
insert+f7,
3, now press the letter "d" until you hear jaws say,
downloads,
press enter.
4, again bring up the links list insert+f7,
now press the letter "j" until you hear jaws say;
jaws registered press enter.
your now placed on the downloads page.
5, if your at the top of the page,
press the letter "h" twice,
now you can start to use your down arrow key.
once you find the first link,
while you have it highlighted,
press the insert+f7,
you will hear jaws say,
JAWS 17.0.1806 64-bit English - April 2016
now press,
alt+m
now press,
either, applications key, or, shift+f10 for the context menu,
up arrow and enter on, copy shortcut,
now, take this over to a new email, and paste into the body of a message.
note, you may want to press the enter key for a hard return, now paste from
clipboard.

I believe you aren't pasting or typing in the actual link. To get the link:
While on the webpage press alt-d, then control-c.
then go to the message, type enter, then paste with control-v, then press
enter again.
Be sure that no extraneous characters appear on the URL line. In your case,
your URL line begins with a bullet followed by a space. I copied the address
you have and deleted these two characters in the message I was drafting this
time around, but even then, the link didn't show as a link. This is when I
realized you must not have gone the alt-d, control-c, control-d route.
True, I'm using Outlook, but I think the method should apply across email
clients. I rely on others to tell me if I'm wrong.
Feel free to work this out with me off-list. As you say, you could do it
before, and I'm sure your system can still do it.

a link goes out as a link in an HTML email:
Press enter to start a new line.
Paste the URL.
Press enter again.
I hope this time it works for you. I appreciate your desire to save other
