Hi, I use a different emulator PCom. I never noticed that it did not announce the character being deleted or read the next character gaining focus. Emulators are a odd thing in that they have such limited functionality. When FS says it can be application specific it could be that out of the box it may not behave in the default manner. Did you bring forward any scripts or configuration files that you were using on the previous versions of jaws? I will take a look to see whether I can get this to work. Adrian, I hadn't thought of that, but when I just tried it, the documentation reports that jaws should delete the character at the cursor then read the next character gaining focus. It doesn't do that. The documentation also says something about the functionality being controlled by the application which I don't understand. I guess I will make a report to FS. So annoying!
