I do not find any type of delay in JAWS responsiveness when reading cell content. It is just not there as far as JAWS is concerned.

Requires backing up a couple characters before moving forward again, which makes reading or correcting a formula pretty hard. This has been the standard behavior for several major revisions of JAWS. I recommend that you jump to the beginning, select all, copy, and paste into notepad for reading and correcting, then paste back into the cell if changes were made. Much faster that way. Since most of my formulas are over 100 characters long, that is when I find the problem. Sometimes I can use F2, then Control+home to move to the beginning of the cell contents and read up to a certain point. After that , JAWS just announces "blank". I can select all, copy and paste into NotePad. Once the change has been made I select all copy and paste back into the cell where I've deleted the previous contents. I'm also having problems with JAWS reading the drop down menus in the Sort dialog box, and the drop down lists in my actual spreadsheet. I've updated my JAWS to the latest build, now I just need to test it out with Excel.
