Karen, I think you mean control-f rather than alt-f, right? I just tried your method. Unfortunately, I've assigned control-alt-y as my Firefox shortcut, and to my surprise, it overrides the MS Word 2010 function. I don't know why, since my control-alt-I shortcut for IE is overridden by MS Word 2010's insert on/off toggle.

Do the alt f thing and put in the word or phrase you want to fine and enter. When it gives you the first instance, hit escape. Then, you can do alt+control+y to keep going through the other findings of that word or phrase.
