I might cite the example of Adobe Acrobat, and how it detects if you're using assistive technology, and presents you with the reading options before it opens up a PDF as an example of how Microsoft might implement the pricing scheme, though this is mostly guess work on my end.

Hi Holger,

I have no idea how they plan to implement this sort of pricing scheme, but
it's there and in print, so there will probably be a way.

Perhaps Windows 10 is set up to detect when you're using assistive
technology of some kind.

Like I said, I really can't say, as I've already upgraded to Windows 10 on
all my computers.

Sorry.

Thanks. So how they would know that I am using access technology?

Hi Holger,

It's come to my attention that Microsoft will charge for Windows 10, but it
will not include people with assistive technology.

This includes screen readers and magnifiers.

I've pasted a link below with more information.

Hope this helps.

Hi, all
I heard that MS will be starting to charge for W10 in July. Is this for any
new PC someone gets and for those of us who had not upgraded yet.
