Two or three days ago, I posted about my problems completing a JAWS repair. All three attempts got stuck at the "dotnet.framework" installer. I've done some research and spoken to FS, and this is what I've found:
1. MS now supports only versions 4.6 and above of dotnet.framework. 2. JAWS uses dotnet.framework version 4.0 because anything higher doesn't support older braille and other devices. 3. My system has installed version 4.6.1, presumably as part of the Windows 7 installation. 4. I did try to download, though not necessarily, install, version 4.0, but the MS website doesn't allow me to. (I tried doing so in case I could be convinced not to worry about security issues.)
