Hi Adrian, I don't know what FS tech support told you, but I'm running the .NET Framework 4.6.1 & nothing older is in my Installed Updates folder / link, & I just recently did a repair on J17 with no issues on this computer. Now, on my new computer J17 won't install at all & FS tech support escalated the problem, had me send them a zipped file of J17 log files, & this was after they had created a case number for my issues. It seems like if you're having this kind of trouble FS would escalate your problem for further troubleshooting. Take care. Mike Sent from my iBarstool. Two or three days ago, I posted about my problems completing a JAWS repair. All three attempts got stuck at the "dotnet.framework" installer. I've done some research and spoken to FS, and this is what I've found: 1. MS now supports only versions 4.6 and above of dotnet.framework. 2. JAWS uses dotnet.framework version 4.0 because anything higher doesn't support older braille and other devices. 3. My system has installed version 4.6.1, presumably as part of the Windows 7 installation. 4. I did try to download, though not necessarily, install, version 4.0, but the MS website doesn't allow me to. (I tried doing so in case I could be convinced not to worry about security issues.) Does anyone with more technology experience than me have any thoughts about this quandary?
