That's been going on for years now, if memory serves. I spoke to someone who was a volunteer with bookshare once upon a time, and that was when I was informed. I think this was a few years ago.

I just found out from doing some research for a member of my W-10 and Jaws group. That certain state libraries for the blind will pay for the first year of bookshare for first time members of bookshare. Call your state library and see if they support this program. You must fill out a form that they will provide you. After you are accepted, they will send you a code to give to bookshare. This code will allow you to use bookshare free for one year. This saves you $75 for the cost of the first year. Starting the second year, you will only pay $50 per year for the bookshare subscription service. For your information I have separated the W-10 and Jaws group into two yahoo groups, and have added, A new Christian yahoo group called, The River.
