Tom, Having this issue myself, I am somewhat pleased to learn it is not unique to my system. After speaking with Microsoft tech support earlier today, the temporary fix is to use Control+Shift+Tab to get to the folder list and Control+Tab to get back to the message list if you do not move to another email folder. If you use Control+Shift+Tab to move to the folder list and then use your arrow keys or first letter to move to another folder, using Enter or the Spacebar will still work to get into the folder; Control+Tab is only used if you use Control+Shift+Tab but do not move to a different folder than the one just exited.
I hope this makes sense and hope there will be a quick fix. Thanks for the info regarding how this problem is a known issue. The issue has been referred to higher levels at Freedom Scientific, and they will contact Microsoft about the issue. I'm also going to contact the Microsoft Accessibility hotline to let them know of the issue. In the meantime, I'll have to use Control Y, rather than shift tab, to access my Outlook folder list, so at least, I'm not totally dead in the water. I'll keep everyone updated.
