How would you modify the dictionary manager? Yes, I use the dictionary to spell out abbreviations I come across most often, the way you illustrate in your original post in this thread. The only setting that comes to mind is in the JAWS settings center that enables reading uppercase letters when JAWS reads by line, word or character. The default is caps announced only when reading by character. If you want to change that default, go to the settings center with (as you know) JAWS key+6 on the number row above the letter, then type "capitalization" into the edit field.
