Just to add that my previous post about the variation of the shortcuts for
setting the view only applies to Windows 10. Things were fine in windows
8.1.

Just to add a note about the shortcuts supplied by Brian Lee. The shortcuts
Ctrl+Shift+number work if the display language of your computer is set to
english (united states). However if it's set to english (united kingdom),
then the shortcuts take the form ctrl + alt + number. Why microsoft have
created this confusion, I've no idea.

Hello Kevin,

In Windows 10 and I think in Windows 8 you can change between views in File
Explorer by using the following keystrokes:

CTRL + SHIFT + 1 Extra Large icons,
CTRL + SHIFT + 2 Large Icons,
CTRL + SHIFT + 3 Medium Icons,
CTRL + SHIFT + 4 Small Icons,
CTRL + SHIFT + 5 List view,
CTRL + SHIFT + 6 Details view,
CTRL + SHIFT + 7 Tiles view,
CTRL + SHIFT + 8 Content view.

Take care.
