Hi Angel,

Try the steps below to get the Jaws cursor to work:
  From: Dave "Farfar" Carlson
I may have the solution, provided by another lister. This worked for me
using JAWS 15 on Windows 7, and was reported to work using JAWS 14, as
well.
  Beyond that, I don't know.

Reviewing a Web Page With the JAWS Cursor While Using Mozilla Firefox
  Version 4 and newer
(Adapted from a GW Micro Knowledge Base article)

When using Mozilla Firefox version 4 or newer, reviewing web pages using
the
JAWS Cursor is problematic. Mozilla is using a new graphical technology in
Firefox version 4 and newer which bypasses the offscreen model, (OSM).
Since
JAWS For Windows depends on the OSM to allow the user to review the screen
using the JAWS Cursor, things don't work the same as with older versions
of
  Firefox, (such as version 3.6).

  Solution:

  1. Launch Mozilla Firefox.
  2. Press Control-L to open a new link.
  3. Type "about:config" and press Enter.
  4. If you are presented with a dialog which warns you about the dangers of
making changes, Tab to the "I'll be careful, I promise!" button and press
  Enter.
  5. At this point you should be out of Virtual Cursor mode and on a filter
Edit Box. If not, turn off Virtual Cursor mode by pressing JAWS Key - z.
  6. In the filter Edit Box type "direct2d.disabled".
  7. Press Tab to get to the list of filtered entries and you should see one
called "gfx.direct2d.disabled" with a default value of False.
  8. Press Enter to toggle this value to True.
  9. Press Shift-Tab to get back to the filter Edit Box and type
  "layers.acceleration.disabled".
  10. Press Tab to get to the list of filtered entries and you should see
one
called "layers.acceleration.disabled" with a default value of False.
  11. Press Enter to toggle this value to True.
  12. Press Control-W to close the configuration window.
  13. Restart Firefox.

you should now be able to use the JAWS Cursor to review web pages while
using Mozilla Firefox version 4 and newer.

Take care.
Mike

I don't know how to find the version I am using. I suspect it is version 4
and some change. I might have to upgrade my Jaws version. I can go as far
as Jaws 15. I am so frustrated with my banking site, and with my attempts
to cause the Jaws curser to work on that sight, I have to wait till I am
better able mentally to tackle the problem. I bragged on another list, how
accessible was my banking site. When compared with other complaints about
other banking sites. I was assured when the change in the banking site
interface changed, I would be able to access it. I just assumed it would be
the case. I can use the banks mobile sight quite well. Even with my
outdated internet explorer. But, I must make transfers to another bank, and
for that, I am required to use the banks full site. It is sad, too, because
through the banks change of name and management, I have been its customer
since 1968.
