The program I couldn't remember when posting last time, one can switch from
the headphones to the speaker using a keystroke. It's called audio switcher.
If Kevin might find it helpful, I will use my favorite keystroke to deliver
it to you via dropbox. Just let me know buddy.

Kevin,
Once you land on "Playback device," you are at the top of the list of
devices on your system. Don't tab. Instead, arrow down until you hear the
device you wish to make your default. As I recall, the applications key
comes in very handy once focus is on that device.

I can get to the sound control panel no problem, just b by pressing win key
and typing sound. that brings up the sound control panel and once opened
the first is playback. the problem is I have a number of sound output
devices. how do I choose the speakers. when I did it without sound I think
I got to the sound control panel and when I arrowed up and down no sound
came on! maybe I didn't get the sound control panel!

There is a program that could do it after you create a keystroke, but since
I'm not sure where I have it at the moment, just do the following:
1.
Windows key r and type mmsys.cpl and press enter 2. You will then be in the
playback tab, which will be familiar to you.
