I beg your pardon!
Although you might want to convince me otherwise, I did nothing wrong at
all by letting Iram know that Outlook Express was available if he wanted
to use it. And I gave him credit for being intelligent and that he knew
of it's possible security risks and lack of support, and knew how to
deal with them.
Cheers!

Gene, with respect, it makes me nervous when a program is suggested that
carries security risks. Sometimes it isn't enough to just answer a question.
People need to know the down side of changing a setting, installing a new
application, etc. I'd strongly encourage Iram to look into installing a
different, secure email client. People on this list have mentioned one or two
that closely track OE. Personally, I didn't find the transition from OE to
Outlook too hard, thanks to listers who helped me through the process. But I
believe there's at least one other email client that's closer to OE and
probably less expensive.

Hi Gene and all,
If you choose to use Outlook Express with Windows 7 and above, keep the
following in mind:
Microsoft does not support Outlook Express past Windows XP.
If memory serves, the scripts that were available for this version
will not work with Jaws 17 and above, since Jaws no longer supports
it.

Hi Iram!
If you liked Outlook Express, there is a copy of it for Windows 7 on
the jaws-users web site.
It's on this page:
http://www.jaws-users.com/programs/
You may also want to check the scripts page to see if there are any
scripts written for it.
