If you have not received an answer to your question yet, let me tell you what I do using Outlook 10. I open an email to send and start typing the name of the contact that I want to delete. When it appears auto filled out in the, to box, I press the delete key. And, walla, the contact is gone and won't come up the next time you start typing that name or contact.
