Yes, that's true and I'd done it on those few occasions when I had to use the laptop with its own keyboard, but I just don't like the layout--things just aren't located where I expect to find them. Heck, it took me 20 minutes just to locate the power button because I hadn't laid hands on this laptop for almost two years.
