With all the discussion of the sys tray, I have a different problem. I have "scanner not responding" in the system tray. My scanner is working just fine. It's plugged into a USP port. It has been this way since I got the computer. At any rate, when i left click on the "scanner not responding" i get two choices, "test parallel port" and "more about hpppt". Is there any way to get this out of the tray? Or, maybe I should say any easy way? Thanks, karen
