Hello Walt; Well what I'm saying exactly is? using Jaws Version, "5.10", pressing the spacebar on any column, doesn't change the status of the column. if I press the spacebar, I just keep hearing checked, checked. now, if I down arrow for example, and hear flag, then? I need to either, tab to find out whether the status is show or hide, or? I can press insert+numpad 8, and then jaws will tell me whether the column is checked or unchecked.

It's not at all clear what you're really saying. Do you mean that there are no checks on the items? I seriously doubt that the JAWS version has much to do with this, since you're dealing with what is, after all, an Outlook Express function and not a JAWS function. Pressing the SPACEBAR has always been the way to check or uncheck checkable items in Windows with JAWS since at least version 3.5. If the check marks aren't being announced, try turning on all graphics in the dialog and labeling them. ----- Original Message ----- From: "David The Wild-thing!" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, August 15, 2006 6:41 PM Subject: Re: [jaws-users] I want four items displayed but i want to hide other columns. well, this may be true of the later versions of jaws, however, pressing the spacebar, in Version 5.10 doesn't produce that result. so, one needs to tab, and see if the column is hide or show status.
