Just a short bit of explanation here. Those 'annoying' web sites that do something as soon as you hit 'down-arrow' on a combo box are being a little extra convenience for the sighted world. In a sighted browsing experience these combo boxes show up as menus when clicked on. Once a menu item is selected a 'JavaScript' (sort of like 'on mouse over') takes over and automatically hits the 'submit' button on the form that is associated with the combo box. As stated in previous messages, it is a good habit to hit alt-down-arrow on the combo boxes so that the menu pops up just like in the sighted world.
I wonder if IE scripts could be modified so that when in 'forms' mode and on a combo box check to see if combo box is open on down-arrow and open it (equivalent to alt-down-arrow) if not open?
