I don't know what your friend does when trying to forward something. Does she press CTRL+F while viewing the message or while the message is highlighted in the Inbox? There _is_ an option in the Message menu to forward as an attachment, but doing that is relatively unusual. There is nothing in the Outlook Express options that would change this, so I wonder if she's invoking the Forward function correctly.
